Chevapi at Paulina’s in Diocletian’s Palace, Split, Croatia

Had possibly one of the most delicious foods I’ve sampled in Croatia, so far.

Chevapi at the above place. It’s like lamb kebabs. The meat and bread was freshly made. The grounded paprika sauce was sweet and to die for.

A good friend of mine told me about it and got her sister to show me it. Awesome! Cheers Lidijia and Ivana should you guys be reading this!! 😀

Split, Croatia

Great guitarist/harmonica busker! Put my mind at ease :). Inside Diocletian’s Palace.

He was like a cross between Dylan and Springsteen. Two of my faves 🙂

On the road to Split: Stupin Celine

Forgive the lack of correct characters. As soon as I’m back in the UK, I’ll ensure that I correct the place name. I’m currently working off memory but the helmet can should have recorded the name of the small village correctly.

It reminded me a lot of my Dad’s village in Hong Kong. A lot of the places in Croatia do, in fact: architecture, buildings, etc.

Arrived in Zadar, Croatia

Sittin’ on the dock of the bay :). Arrived in Zadar from Rijeka after a nice (if wet) ride all along the D8 road parallel to the Adriatic Coast. :). From here, the rest of the ride all the way down to Dubrovnik is coined ‘the continent to coast’ route by Lonely Planet. Can’t wait! Can’t wait to get home and checkout the helmet cam pics. Even, I’ve not seen them yet.

My First Haircut Abroad

Just before leaving Pula :). Just a personal preference for now, but for me, shorter hair is more manageable when travelling. Who knows? Maybe one day, I’ll rock it with longer hair like a real biker should 😉

Great seafood in Pula, Croatia!

This was calamari with a spinach variant (I was told) and potatoes 🙂

Pula, Croatia!

Made a big push of 344 miles today and…Passed into Slovenia very briefly past Trieste. Finally, after 4 days, I’m here in Croatia!!! First port of call: Pula!

The entry from Muggia, Italy, near Trieste was great. Had a drop-dead gorgeous Customs gal being the first gal I saw on entry ;). The following D66 and A9 roads were beautifully paved, no potholes (unlike home!) and I practically had the road to myself. The scenery was gorgeous!

Davos, Switzerland

The other day of exiting Switzerland, I decided to go through Chur, Davos and via the Stelvio Pass. Shortly, after this pic was taken, snow began to fall, the pass was closed & I caught the vehicle train (which was very fortunate). 🙂

A very surreal experience. When I get back to the UK, it’ll be extremely weird to see the helmet can footage: snow in the morning on the Swiss side of the Alps, followed by warm sun in the Bolzano region of Northern Italy! 🙂

At Lucerne, Switzerland

My baby and me made it to Lucerne, Switzerland, yesterday. Glad to report good progress made: 312 miles w. 07:49 start from Reims. May have inadvertently took in some of the Southern Alps by passing St. Dizier & Mulhouse! Sun was out and the ride along the N4, N44 & A31 was just damn gorgeous. Lovely, scenic roads!!

Helmet cam pics to be uploaded when I’m back: made last-minute decision to leave laptop at home. And to see if I can survive life on the road with just an iPhone! :p
